!!!SPONTANEOUS SNOWBALL FIGHT!!! - Nov 26 [Nov. 25th, 2006|09:52 pm]

The Abominable Snowman has dragged himself out of his lair, and has brought depths of snow with him. Now, the hunters have this opportunity to stalk prey in a foreign terrain, sharpen our instincts -- or collapse trying. This is an official howl out to the pack; if you are not a sheep in wolfs skin, then join us tomorrow for a flurry of snow flinging. To make this event happen, we need enough members, so if there is more than five confirmations, this operation is a go. Now it is up to each of you, it is your responsibility, to RSVP in this thread. Include your availability and ideas for location.

Free Urban Games!!! MANHUNT!!! DODGEBALL!!! MORE!!! [Aug. 16th, 2006|10:42 am]

Greetings everyone!!! For those of you who have not yet heard, people have been enjoying mind-blowing fun. Doing what? Well, a series of urban games such as Manhunt, Dodgeball, and Capture the Flag. These games are held weekly and are often in the downtown core, but always close to the Skytrain stations for easy access. Manhunt is the main game and is serious chaos as you have 30-60+ players running and hiding all over the downtown core trying to avoid or hunt others; specifically to those who have no idea what we are doing. Every alternate week one of the other games is played, and new events will be tried and added in the future. Anyone can come, and it is totally free. We are all out to have fun and although it is fun to win, no one ever feels bad if they do not; this is nothing alike to the lame competitiveness that people had faced in high school. So come out and get involved; this is not something to procrastinate. Remember:

#1 - The first rule of Manhunt is, you do talk about Manhunt.
#2 - The second rule of Manhunt is, you DO talk about Manhunt.
#3 - If someone says stop, goes limp, taps out, the game is not over (unless they go limp, if this happens, you may need to call an ambulance).
#4 – Unlimited people to a game.
#5 – One or more games at a time.
#6 - No shirts, no shoes, no service.
#7 - Games will go on as long as they have to (Generally last one hour).
#8 - If this is your first night at Manhunt, you have to play.

Manhunt is a hide-and-seek variant. The game starts out with one person, known as the MANHUNTER, who is "it". After the manhunter has been selected, the FUGITIVES have 120 seconds to hide.

If a FUGITIVE is tagged by a MANHUNTER, she or he is BRAINWASHED and forced to join the side of the MANHUNTERS. At the end of the designated time limit, all FUGITIVES who have not been arrested are declared the winners.

Play occurs within predetermined boundaries. If a FUGITIVE exits these boundaries for any reason, she/he joins the MANHUNTERS. Players are identified as being distinct from the general civilian population by means of a HIGHLY-VISIBLE ARMBAND.

Fooding. [Mar. 8th, 2006|12:18 am]

Soooo, I was just wondering if any of you could recommend a good 24 hour restraunt? I live near the 152st and Hwy 10 intersection, so somewhere close by is preferred (20 minute drive maybe?).

Good coffee and a not too creepy atmosphere would be nice too.

Yoooo Hooo!! :) Looks like we're gonna be moving to Surrey! [Mar. 3rd, 2006|09:18 am]

Hi! I don't know if you guys will remember me. I posted a while back. :)

My fiancee and her two children are making the move from Ontario to BC this spring (May 31st) and we have pretty much decided that Surrey is probably where we're all going to want to be.

She may be able to work out a company transfer, in which case her job may be in South Surrey (near city hall). We are wanting to find the best way to find out what our housing options will be (we're looking for 3 bedroom apartment, suite, whatever) to rent. We'd need to be close to public transit, preferably near a bus route that goes to the skytrain station (if the transfer doesn't work out, she may need to commute into Burnaby or Vancouver), near shopping etc. We'd ideally like to be in a safe/quiet (even if it's not the prettiest) neighborhood that's more residential than concrete jungle. We'd like to be close to the high school (is it 8-12 up there?) for the boys as well.

Being that my fiancee is in Ontario, I (the Seattleite) will be the one looking for a place for them to live and I'd love some ideas/starting points since I have not once driven in BC yet! (yikes!).

I have heard that downtown Surrey can be a little dicey and we're not "downtown" people anyway. We've studied transit maps and are starting to get a good idea, but any help from people who actually live there would be very very much appreciated!! :)

Thanks in advance!!

(no subject) [Feb. 11th, 2006|03:37 pm]

Anyone here an actor or know of any actors in the surrey area that might be up to doing a sing-o-gram or something? I have this urge to embarrass a friend of mine at work... I was thinking either a tranny act or a gay strip-o-gram (just a strip tease, no nudity)

If you know any companies who do this or if there's any aspiring actors out there, msg me back. I don't have alot of money, but I can manage some...

Doesn't need to be for Valentines... I believe he has a birthday coming up in March...
